Step One

Square off the sheet of A4 card to measure 210mm x 210mm.

Right side facing lightly mark (I use a fine point embossing or pricking tool) a point on each of the four sides 5cms in and 5cms down from the edges of the card.

Carefully cut between the points on two of the sides - shown in red.

Score the card diagonally - shown by the green dotted line.

Step Two

Fold the card diagonally.  Your basic card shape is made.

I have shown the card folded Fig. A with a variation to the design Fig. B where the corner has been cut off and the card turned to give a more Art Deco shape.

Step Three

Open the card out and with the wrong side facing and a ruler placed diagonally corner to corner, mark points.   (I use the fine embossing tool to mark the points) 24mm and 48 mm in from each of the four corners.  This is shown by green dots.

Step Four

With the wrong side facing, place the card on a scoring board and score between the outer set of dots.  Try not to over-run the dots.  Repeat with the inner set of dots.  Turn the card front side facing and you should have two embossed lines 24mm apart running round the perimeter of the card.  Where it is shown as thin gold lines – for illustration purposes only.

Step Five

Fold the card and decorate.

I used thin strips cut from one of the matching backing sheets to trim between the embossed lines.

I added one largest and one smallest image from Chocolat selection of images on Disc One.

Add a sentiment.
